DEMO REEL
VISUAL EFFECTS PROJECTS
Interstellar Actor Replacement
As the Director of Photography, I helped on set with lighting, positioning, and actor movements to help capture usable ground photography that can be rotoscoped and keyed into the original scene using Nuke.
Cat Excavator 3D Model
Working as modeler, lookdev, lighter, and rigger, this Cat Excavator was completely hand-created using Maya and Substance Painter. Environment created using SketchFab models and textures.
Stagger Lee Lighting and Rendering
Based on the legend of Stagger Lee, I created this composition, action, and lighting to tell a story. Rendered using Arnold render layers and AOVs, this was created in Maya with post work done in Nuke. Environment and models sourced from SketchFab, animations from Mixamo.
Modular Game Level
I created reusable wall, floor, and ceiling assets that could be used in a modular dungeon design workflow. I also created multiple seamless textures that allowed me to reuse the walls in different configuration settings, and decals to customize individual wall segments. To showcase this, I assembled a level within Unreal Engine and used moody lighting to push the narrative of a washed-up 1960s actor's house. Every model was hand-created using Maya, and the textures were hand-drawn using Procreate.
Lighting for Emotion/Mood
I kitbashed multiple models together to create a bathroom, then lit the scene based on day and night scenarios. Nighttime portrays someone preparing for a night out, while daytime portrays the serene morning after. Pushing color and emotion was my main focus with this project. Created using Maya, rendered with Arnold.
Photogrammetry Pirate Ship
Using PolyCam, I scanned this pirate ship model, candles, a head bust, and a picture frame. After scanning and processing it, I took it into Maya for retopology, lighting, and staging on a wooden table model.
Newtons Cradle Maya Python/MEL
This entire scene was created using only Python within Maya. All meshes modeled, textures procedurally created, lighting set, and animation keyframed using Python.
Devil vs. Angel Twins
Recreating a simple Hollywood trick, I collaborated with Arlie Richards to bring a double to life through After Effects and Nuke. Filmed on a Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4K.
